Are my brochures being read?

To answer the question quickly, there’s a 50% chance that they aren’t. They’re just ending up in the trash next to yesterday’s newspaper. But hold up! That said, there’s still a 50% chance that they are being read, so you want to make sure that the people who are reading your literature are getting the most out of it.

So how do we maximize this potential?

There’s certain things you can do or not do with your brochures that will help grab and keep the readers attention, even it’s for a split second longer. It all counts.

First,

you’ve most certainly heard the expression “never judge a book by its cover”. Well, unfortunately that holds about as much weight as an elephant on a clothes line. The reality is that the cover of your brochure is the first and likely only chance to grab the customer’s attention. Make sure you have a cover that is pleasing to the eye and don’t list the entire company history or every product your business sells on the cover. Save that stuff for later.
