Having a bout of writer’s block? Whether you’ve been following our blog for a while now or if you’ve just begun tuning in, you’ll want to revisit our introductory article on blogging located here.

Maybe you’ve already begun blogging and have quickly run out of ideas, or maybe we’ve got you drooling at the possibilities of reaching out to your client base regularly… either way, what on earth are you going to talk about? Our goal with this series is to provide you with a list of 10 topics that can be applied to any business that will allow you to keep writing and keep your audience coming back for more:

1. News Releases

Has your business recently sponsored or participated in an event? Perhaps you’ve been involved with a trade show or charity event. Have you won a recent award or been talked about in the newspaper? Maybe you’ve just released a new product or started a new service for your business. Any event related to your business that you believe may interest your clients is always a good place to start.

2. Customer Service

Have you been getting a lot of calls about a particular problem? Perhaps there’s some confusion about a product or requests for a new product or service. Keep your clients up-to date by clarifying general inquiries via this suggestion-box method.

3. Reviews

People are growing more and more keen on reading reviews online before purchasing a product. You could be selling a few different brands of a single product. Letting your clients know what brand is best for their needs is a good way to earn customer loyalty.

4. Micro-posts

A great way to get extra mileage out of your blog topics is to find a lengthy topic and break it up into a series of posts. Not only does it take care of a bigger chunk of time in your blog world, like a soap opera it will entice people to return tomorrow or next week to read part 2 and so on.

5. Interviews

Interview some of your clients and post it to your blog. Include some of the work you’ve done for them. Not only does it serve as a great testimonial, it lets you brag a bit about what you’re best at.

Contrary to what Merry Melodies says… That’s not all, folks! Next week we’ll be unleashing another 5 great ways to brainstorm your blog.
